We are pleased to offer this honey-processed decaffeinated coffee from Vereda San Pedro, high on the slopes of the Colombian Andes. This special coffee first goes through the honey process, retaining much of the coffee's sweet nature. It is then decaffeinated using the sugarcane method, which uses a naturally organic compound found in sugarcane and other plants to highlight the sweet, fruit-forward characteristics of this coffee.
Our Honey Decaf is grown by the ASCI'SP (Asociación Indigena de Caficultores Orgánicos de San Pedro), an indigenous organic coffee growers' cooperative. This co-op was founded to benefit the indigenous Nasa We'sx people, who cultivate coffee entirely using organic and traditional methods that protect local flora and native forests. Our coffee importer, De La Finca, operates as a farmer-owned, relationship-driven green coffee importer, prioritizing long-term, transparent pricing agreements directly with indigenous cooperatives like ASCI'SP. This ensures the Nasa We'sx growers receive sustainable compensation for their organic agricultural practices.
